Experiential Learning
Gaining paid experience as a fundraiser requires prior internships and job experience. Donors are more likely to make a donation if they are able to speak with a volunteer in person or over the phone. It is essential that the fundraiser who leads the campaign has previous expertise in this field.

Advancement to the position of fundraising manager is an option for those with the right qualifications. A master's degree could be required for some management roles, as well as years of expertise in fundraising.
